This summer, the National Literacy Institute is offering an exclusive, four-day intensive training in Houston, Texas, designed for educators who want to deepen their knowledge of the Science of Reading and bring research-based literacy practices back to their schools.

This is not a program we are selling—it is an exclusive opportunity for committed educators to receive advanced training in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. In partnership with Lakeshore, this immersive experience includes:

About Dr. Ingrid Haynes

Dr. Ingrid Haynes is a nationally recognized literacy leader, educator, and advocate with over 30 years of experience in transforming literacy instruction. As the founder of the National Literacy Institute, she has dedicated her career to equipping educators and families with the tools needed to build strong literacy foundations for all children.

Dr. Haynes’s expertise in the Science of Reading has led to groundbreaking professional development programs, including the exclusive Train-the-Trainer Science of Reading Academy. She has worked with schools and districts nationwide, ensuring that evidence-based literacy practices reach classrooms and communities.

Her work has gained national attention, earning her the opportunity to appear on Dr. Phil twice, where she discussed the importance of literacy, early childhood education, and strategies to close learning gaps. Dr. Haynes believes in a whole child, whole parent approach, bridging the home and school connection to foster lifelong readers and learners.
